Apologies to RafaelSeptember 4, 2008
A couple of days ago I wrote about the extreme belief that Roger Federer has in himself and how this belief ensured his victory whilst playing someone of equal ability but not the same degree of belief.
I also – for some reason – said that surprisingly Rafael Nadal – a man with equal belief – had been knocked out of the US Tennis Open – now happening at Flushing Meadows, New York. I cannot think why I reported this other than I might have not realised I was only looking at only one half of the draw, and not seeing Nadal’s name, had presumed he had been knocked out. Apologies to you Rafael, and to all our readers – this is not the case – Rafael is still very much part of the 2008 US Tennis Open Finals and who would be surprised if the two men, Nadal and Federer, with such outstanding self belief meet in the final – if its anything like the Wimbledon match it will be a game to behold.
